For example, services such as local, long-distance, wireless, Internet and broadband access from one provider are billed together with single point of contact. Additionally, Cincinnati Bell's high-speed, asymmetrical digital subscriber line (ADSL) service, called ZoomTown, helps make the Cincinnati region one of the country's most wired cities with service available to approximately 85 percent of the population. Greater Cincinnati has one of the highest penetrations of all ADSL subscribers in the nation.

Cincinnati Bell continually leads the industry as evidenced in this list of firsts:

  • first in U.S. to build and deploy a self-healing fiber optic network
  • first in U.S. to build an online, high-speed community
  • first in U.S. to launch Internet Call Manager, an Internet call waiting product
  • first in U.S. to connect Ethernet LAN connectivity to Frame Relay and ATM networks
  • first in Midwest to offer pay phones that provide Internet and e-mail access
  • first communications company to launch a notification system of incoming email messages on a Caller ID box
  • one of the first in U.S. to launch additional internet applications for ZoomTown subscribers.

Cincinnati Bell was ranked number one in Residential Long Distance Customer Satisfaction among mainstream users for 2001 and 2002. The company was also ranked as number one in Local Residential Telephone Customer Satisfaction in 2001.
